Your guide to arriving to camp in style

Dropping your child off at overnight camp can be a little overwhelming, especially for first time campers.

You might be wondering if you forgot anything, if your child will make friends tonight, and where to park to get started.

Our team is here for you and this page is a great way to get started! Here’s what you might be wondering about arriving on the first day of camp.

We’ve welcomed thousands of first time camper families, and we are SO EXCITED you are about to be one of them. Ranch staff are ready to guide you through our simple drop-off process so your camper can get right into having a great time!

Load up the car

Check out the packing list ahead of time. Grab your bags (and your excited camper) and head out to the Ranch. Hype-up country music optional.

Pull up to the gates

When you arrive on camp property, Ranch staff will greet you along the driveway and guide you through a series of registration stations. At the final stop, you’ll be directed where to pull up, unload your child’s luggage, and meet their counselor.

Big can’t-believe-it’s-finally-camp energy is 100% welcome!

Drop off meds & confirm registration

If your child has any medications, please review the medication instructions and complete the required forms, which can be found here. Bring the completed forms and medications with you to registration, where you’ll hand them directly to our Camp Nurse. The nurse will also be available if there is any information on your child’s medical form that you’d like to clarify or discuss.

If there are any outstanding camp fees or registration details to take care of, a Camp Administrator will let you know at the first station.

We’re huge animal lovers at the Ranch… but no lice allowed

Campers must arrive at camp lice and nit free. As part of the check-in process, your camper will be directed to a quick and discreet lice check. Unfortunately, any camper with lice or nits, even if previously treated, will need to head home and be completely lice and nit free before returning to camp.

Meet your super cabin leader!

You’ll be directed to the Corral, where you’ll meet your child’s cabin leader. If there is anything you’d like to discuss or any questions about cabin life, you can let their leader know.

You’ll leave your child’s luggage in the Corral, and our staff will take care of getting it to their cabin.

Say a little “see you soon”

You know what kind of goodbye will be best for your child. Choose a quick exit or a heartfelt goodbye hug, check the rear-view mirror as you head down the camp lane and know that we will take it from here.

Games to help campers connect with each other begin during drop-off times, and before they know it, they will be swept up in yummy dinner and evening program.

Worry Free Camping

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s safety and camp experience.

Staying in touch with your camper

Camp is screen-free, and we love it! But that doesn’t mean being out of touch. Mail, email, and care packages can remind your child they are on your mind even while on a big camp adventure.

The camp office staff are here to help with communication in case of emergency.
