Parent Volunteers

The Ranch, and all the ways that summer camp brings life and growth to young people in our community, would not be possible without the joyful service from our many, wonderful volunteers!

Current Opportunities

Kitchen team

Pop on an apron and serve on the camp kitchen team! Under the guidance of the camp cook, parent volunteers help keep the Ranch kitchen pumping out delicious food for all.

Prep, serve, and clean up meals for overnight campers and staff.

Time commitment

  • Hours for parent volunteers with overnight campers:
    Sunday evening and from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday (minimum 2 half-hour breaks provided).
  • Hours for parent volunteers with day campers:
    9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday (minimum half-hour break provided).

Discount Details

Application requirements

Application requirements and staff training keep your children safe and the camp running smoothly.

  • Please register your child(ren) for camp and indicate on the camper application that you are interested in being a Parent Volunteer. When your child’s application is reviewed by our registration team, we will send you the link to the Parent Volunteer Application.
  • Parent volunteer spaces are limited, and submitting an application does not guarantee a volunteer placement. We’ll review your application and get back to you to confirm whether a space is available.
  • Complete the Parent Volunteer application, including references
    • Kitchen volunteers require 2 character references
  • Submit a clear vulnerable sector search police/criminal record check prior to coming to camp
